At first the worlds that frame this music seem so far apart: the world of the spirit and the world of the material, the comparing mind and the open heart, the rich sustain of the Celtic harp and the polyphonic pulsing of the Theremin, the warm honeyed homeyness of the human voice and the haunting brittle breath of indigenous flute, and so on... What an uncertain yet wondrous realm opens before us! This composition serves musically as an overture for the entire album presenting many of themes and soundscape terrain that are explored more fully as the other compositions unfold.
