Spoken Word is M. D. Friedman's poem, "Universal": Sunlit seed heads nod in eager waves. Golden grass bends in an agreeable wind now and again, same air pulses through each of us. No matter how old or alone, we bow our heads to the same light within.

This album explores seeing the present global crisis as a catalyst to bring the world together. Only through collaboration and cooperation will we survive, not just as a culture, but as a species. This idea we are all in this together and depend on each other for survival is embedded in all of nature. You can you hear it in the song of the birds, the whispers of the wind and the joyous laughter of open water. You can feel it in the green of the forest and in the churning of the oceans. You see its movement and patterns in the play of light and cloud. It is the first lesson of human community, yet it is a concept that seems largely lost in modern society. It is my hope that this album helps awaken this ancient wisdom in each of us. Please consider this music an invitation to move forward together on a path of healing and love. I hope you find it soothing and quietly helpful in these stressful times. #OneLove #OneWorld #OneLight
