about

Four suites celebrating the fourfold nature of our existence recorded as they were created in The Tank.

At high noon on October 22nd, 2019, Mad Dog and Michael, two kindred shamanic adventurers, arrived between early snowstorms at the sacred confines of the Tank Center for Sonic Arts in Rangely, Colorado. The result is an explosion of musical creativity reminiscent of the early 1970's. It is often hard to tell who is playing what because this music involves a perpetually changing mosaic of highly textured sound from rare and unique instruments either from around the world or out of Michael's inventive imagination. Although it often sounds like a much larger ensemble, this album is the live work of only two players with no over dubbing. It presents sequentially the entire recording session and offers four suites of spontaneous compositions, one for each element, for a total of over two hours of original music.
